Review: Skydiving Simultaneously Thrills and Frustrates in Mobile Game ‘Doodle Dive’<\/h1>\n

If you\u2019re looking for an adrenaline-rushing time-waster, ‘Doodle Dive’ is the perfect game for you. Developed by mobile games maker YoYo Games, ‘Doodle Dive’ puts you in the shoes of a daring skydiver, free-falling through a neon-lit landscape full of obstacles.<\/p>\n

The goal is simple: get the highest score by weaving in and out of clouds, collecting fuel and avoiding obstacles like aircraft and angry birds. It\u2019s fast-paced and hyper-addictive, and the controls are straightforward \u2013 tap and hold the screen to control the movement of the skydiver, and tilt the device to dodge or weave around obstacles.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an excellent concept with terrific graphics. The game has a cartoon-ish art style, composed of strangely cute and whimsical enemies like smiling UFOs and rainbow dragons, which is sure to please younger players. It\u2019s also incredibly easy to pick up, so even if you\u2019re a novice player, you won\u2019t struggle.<\/p>\n

But even if ‘Doodle Dive’ is easy to learn, it is difficult to master. It\u2019s a very fast-paced game, and you have to be quick on your feet in order to dodge obstacles and keep your skydiver alive. You\u2019ll constantly be bombarded by obstacles, and while it\u2019s thrilling to dodge them in the nick of time, it can also be terribly frustrating.<\/p>\n

Another downside is that the game can be a bit repetitive. After a while, the levels start to look and feel the same, and while the game does occasionally vary things up with special events or mini-games, this isn\u2019t enough to keep it fresh.<\/p>\n

Overall, ‘Doodle Dive’ is a great little time killer. It\u2019s fast-paced and frantic, and it has a great art style and intuitive controls. But it can be a bit repetitive and frustrating at times.
